What does God say about Cheating in Exams?

What you say:

“Everyone is doing it”
“The Bible doesn’t say anything about it”
“The organizer of the exams gave it to us themselves”
“I’m not sure if what I’m doing is right. But I’m sure I’m going to pass with it”
“This is my 5th time on this. I’ve wasted so much time. At all cost, whatever it takes, I must pass”
“I didn’t prepare. So…”
“I have no other option”
“I just accept the papers to confirm my answers. I don’t write it word for word”
“I’m writing this for someone who needs it so much.  He will never forget the favor I did”
“Cheating does not hurt anyone. Ten years from now, who is going to care?”

What God Says:

Be honest.

It’s so bad that we who should have been lights burning out for Christ’s glory and conscious of His coming have now been quenched because of such little time of trials as these. How soon have we kicked Jesus out of the exam hall? How inseparable are we now with those in the hall who we would point out as sinners.
Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego and Joseph stood in times like these. They stood for God. Jesus stood trials, he stood them for you. But like Peter, you've denied him. You've denied the ability of the All Knowing God to help you. Like Judas you've sold Him off for grades. Don’t give out that important thing in you just because of a short time success.  Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

You won't be glad if a video of all you do there in the exam hall is played at home, church or to yourchildren or even in an interview or an occasion set up by the government to honor you. What you are not proud of in public should not be done in private. However, one day, all you've ever done in the exam hall and everywhere else will be shown to you. By then you won't be able to stop yourself from taking the paper and copying it down fast.
All may not see you, but God does. You may have deceived the invigilator, but God knows the truth. The invigilator may care less about the truth and may have been bribed off, but God stands firm.
"Behold, [God] desires truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part [God] shall make me to know wisdom." -Psalm 51:6
"Shall not God search this out? for he knows the secrets of the heart." - Psalm 44:21

Just be honest. You have to.
If you are looking on someone else's paper, your text book or phone, you are STEALING from those sources. This is against the law guiding the exams you are doing and the Word of God.
When the work gets to the teacher, examiner, invigilator, marker and even your parents, you are LYING to them because you are telling them, "This is my work and these are my answers"
When you still get caught and you deny cheating, you lie. Don't present any answer that is not coming from your brain as yours.
"Recompense to no man evil for evil. PROVIDE THINGS HONEST IN THE SIGHT OF ALL MEN." Rom 12:17.
"Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight." Prov 12:22
"...that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." 1 Tim 2:2.
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." Rev 21:8

Stop it!
Have you now realized that cheating and all forms of examination malpractice is a sin? If you can't admit that it is a sin and you have in one big or small way fallen into it then the rest of this is not for you. Cheating in all forms is a sin.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom6:23
A large number of students when asked why they cheated said they were not prepared. So what should you be doing now if you don't want to be cheating in the next paper? Browsing? Chatting? Looking? Cat walking? Listening to songs? Dancing to them? Discussing? Joking? Sleeping? Flaunting? OR PREPARING!!
Once, I was preparing for an exam with two friends that belonged to the “No Cheating Movement”. I told them, "We had better read our books now if we don't want to read them in the hall".

Like the Bible made us know, cheating is a sin. That’s a bitter truth. Drink it or spew it.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Don't you want to embrace a new life with Him? Won't you love to talk to Him today?

"Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs." (Eph 4:27-28).
Yea it’s quite difficult. But with God you can. Everything has protocols. To succeed you have to follow the right paths. No short cuts. No roughs. Read, study hard, prepare, pray, go in there, stand your ground, stand for Jesus, stand with him, stand on him, and succeed
